Lewis and Martin remained a team until , after which Martin's first solo appearance in film was in 'Ten Thousands Bedrooms' in That film was a box office flop but Martin thereafter pursued serious acting quite successfully, along with a twin career as a major vocalist, coming distinctly into his own during the sixties as well.
